Lok Sabha Elections Schedule 2024
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has released the schedule of the 2024 Lok Sabha election. The schedule provides an idea of the voting experience for all the voters in the country. Elections to the Lok Sabha are held on a staggered basis with the first phase beginning on 19 April and the last phase ending on 1 June. Elections will be held on June 4. This year’s election will be held in 7 phases.

Lok Sabha elections 2024 Phase-wise schedule
The 18th general election will be held in 7 phases. The first phase covers 102 seats, while the second phase covers 89 seats. In that order, 94, 96, 49, 57 and 57 seats will be put to the vote in the subsequent phases.
Phase 1
Nominations for the first phase will take place on 27 March, with voting taking place on 19 April in 21 states and Union territories.
Phase 2
The second phase of the election will be held on April 26 as the nominations for this phase will close on April 4. This phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha election comprises 12 states and Union territories.
Phase 3
The 3rd round of voting will take place on 20 April. Nominations for this round will take place on 7 May. There are 12 participating states and union territories.
Phase 4
Phase 4 will be held on 13 May as nominations close on 25 April. Phase 4 covers the 10 states and Union territories.
Phase 5
The fifth phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha election will be held on 20 May, covering 8 states and union territories.
Phase 6
The 6th stage will be held on 25 May, covering the Union territory and 7 states. Nomination procedures for this phase end on 6 May.
Phase 7
Due to the 8 states, the 7th phase will be held on 1 June. The UT nomination will be concluded on 14 May.
